Soup to Service Campaign
About St. James Community Programs

The purpose of the Soup to Service project is to renovate space at St. James Episcopal Church to continue our outreach to end hunger and expand housing (currently associated with Continuum of Care in Lake County).

Since 1983, St. James has hosted the homeless and needy segments of Lake County’s population on Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays. As our census grew, we came to receive the support of our neighboring churches. With our partners we now provide a midday meal every Saturday, Sunday and legal holiday as well as a simple evening meal on Mondays and Tuesdays (except on legal holidays).

St. James has been blessed with devoted volunteers from 13 churches as well as 2 secular groups and faithful donors.

Here is a look at our progress so far!
